OFFERED BY THE SURGERY
In addition to regular consultations
we provide the following services at regular intervals. These are by appointment
only.
Minor Surgery
Certain
procedures (eg removal of warts) can be provided by the doctor.
Baby
Clinics
These clinics are held to ensure the well-being
and development of your child.
Immunisation
The
practice nurse runs regular immunisation sessions. The practice strongly recommends
that you have all your necessary immunisations and boosters. People over 65 will
be invited for a yearly influenza and pneumococcal vaccine when due. These will
also be offered to patients with certain chronic conditions.
Family
Planning
A full family planning service is available from
this surgery. We also run well woman checks. This is run by our female doctor
and practice nurse. The fitting of coils and contraceptive injections are undertaken
in this clinic.
Emergency Contraception
You
must seek advice from our doctors within 72 hours. Please tell the receptionist
when you contact us.
Physiotherapy
All
our patients have direct access to local physiotherapy services.
Non-NHS
Services
The doctors can provide a range of services that
are not covered by the NHS. These include medicals, certificates, HGV/PSV medicals
and certain travel vaccinations. A charge will be made for these services (a list
of charges is available from reception).
